With a background spanning two decades in government, education and public relations, Tammy Belton-Davis merged her love of politics and community with communications by launching Athena Communications, LLC in 2009. Athena Communications is a public relations and governmental affairs firm providing 21st century organizations with a cutting-edge approach to communications that results in optimal growth.
Prior to launching Athena, Tammy held senior-level positions with non-profit organizations and city government, and served as staff assistant with the Milwaukee County Board and Milwaukee Common Council. The consummate professional, she brings a fresh perspective and excellence to every project. Tammy’s charismatic style in facilitating visioning and strategic planning sessions or delivering a customized communications session make her a sought after presenter and leader. She specializes in brand management, strategic communications, and government affairs.

Tammy is vice president, programming, for the National Black Public Relations Society – Milwaukee Chapter. Her community work includes service as vice chair of the Groundwork Milwaukee board and board member of the Center for Self-Sufficiency. She serves as the program coordinator of Cardinal Stritch University’s African American Leadership Program, the premier leadership experience for African American professionals, and lead administrator for her church.
A proud graduate of Alverno College, she enjoys reading, national politics, and being a wife and mother.
